There are specific replies that your SMS Recipients can send that either provide information or let them opt-out or opt back in. It is helpful to let your recipients know their options with your SMS messages. (In some jurisdictions this may be required.)
Interactions are not recorded as replies in the SMS Report or Activity History, however opt-outs are recorded in both locations and added to the Opt-Out List.

Sends a reply to the Recipient with instructions: Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.

Opts in to SMS Communication. The phone number is removed from the SMS Opt-Out List. You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.

Opt Out of SMS communication. The phone number is added to the SMS Opt-Out List. You have successfully been re-subscribed to messages from this number. Reply HELP for help Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.
