Icons & Social (new Email Composer) Beta

  • Updated

The icon content block makes it more convenient to use text and images together, offering a cohesive way to enhance your designs. Icons serve as small, expressive elements that can accentuate your content, making the layout more interactive and visually appealing. Icons can replace or accompany traditional bullet points for a more visually compelling list.

The social content block provides your recipients with links to your social channels.

Please note that the new Email Composer is currently in Open Beta.

How to Use Icons & Social Blocks

  1. From the sidebar in the Content tab, drag an Icons or Social content block into the row where you want the icon(s) to appear.
  2. Access icon options: Click the placeholder to open the customization options in the sidebar.
  3. Add & edit icons:
    • For social blocks, Select icon collection from the dropdown to choose the social icons style.
    • Click + Add new icon to insert more icons.
    • To change an icon image, click Change image (not available for social share/follow icons).
    • Click Delete to remove icons you don't want.
    • Reorder Icons: If you've included multiple icons, you can easily rearrange their order by clicking and dragging them:

  1. Format your icons as explained below.

Icon Formatting

For each icon, toggle More options & set:

  • Alt text - text that appears in place of the icon if it cannot display
  • Icon text (not social icons) - add a label for the icon & set its Text position with text formatting options available below.
  • Link type - choose from the options in the dropdown, as explained here.

Icon options are available in the sidebar to set alignment & icon spacing. Additionally for the Icons block only; set the icon size & padding, & for the icon text, set font (family, weight, & size), text color, & letter spacing.

Block options are available to set padding for the entire block, and choose to hide on mobile or desktop.

Send Email Options

Add a 'send email' option to your email design so that recipients can click to quickly send an email, for example, to register interest in a product or service that your email design is promoting. You can do this with either a button block (see Buttons) or an icon block (while this is possible with a social block, the icon block has more functionality), as follows:

  1. Add an Icon block to your email design, as explained above.
  2. In the sidebar, click + Add new icon & toggle More options.
  3. In Link type, select Send email from the dropdown.
  4. Enter the email address to send to, the subject, body, & title of the email. For example:

  1. Set the icon image, icon text, alt text, & any additional formatting options as explained above.
