Event Content Block (Email & Landing Page Composer)

Add details of either in-person or online events to your design in the Email & Landing Page Composer with an Event Content Block.

  1. In the Content tab in the sidebar, under Additional content, select the Event Content Block & add it to a row in your design where you want to add event details.
  2. Click Manage event & select In person or Online.
  3. Add an Event name (required) & description. These are displayed in the design.
  4. Set the details of when your event is:
    • Select a Start date, Start time, & End time.
      Make sure you select AM or PM correctly & click Apply for each
    • If you choose All day, select an End date.
    • Select the correct time zone for the event's location:

  1. For Online events:
    • Under Event format, click Select & choose the online event type (search is available).
    • For your chosen online event type, enter the meeting link & Passcode:

  1. For In person events:
    • In the / Address section, either leave the Default Account Address, or click Change & then:
      • Under User Address, scroll down & select an existing account address.
      • Click Use a custom address & enter address details.
        If a custom address already exists for this Event block, you can edit it here.
        Custom addresses entered here are not added to the list of Act-On account addresses.
    • Add room details if required.
    • Select Include map to address to show a map of the venue location.
    • Select Include registration button to ask recipients to register if they wish to attend. Type the registration Button text & in Registration link, enter the destination for the button where recipients register:

    • If you also want attendees to be able to join the event online, click Add video conferencing & enter online event details as described in Step 5 above.
  1. When you have finished, click Create event. Your event details will be in your design.
  2. Block options are available to set padding & choose to hide on mobile or desktop.
    For Landing Pages, you can also set a block identifier for internal links. Learn more

To edit an existing event, select the Event block & in the sidebar, click Manage event.

Along with the event details, including name, place, & description, notice in this example:

  • Registration button.
  • A map with a directions link to Google Maps.
  • Add to calendar links for Apple, Google, Outlook, & Yahoo.
