BETA: CRM Sync Control Enhancements

  • Updated

Get more control over what records you sync with your CRM with new features coming soon!

What's Changing

We're adding controls to give you more power to limit what syncs with your CRM. This can be particularly useful if you share a CRM account with several Act-On accounts or other business units. Filter your sync by adding conditions to the leads and contacts, for instance, they must be in a particular business unit, not opted out, in / not in target countries, and more. Multiple conditions can be set up for each entity.

Using the filtered sync eliminates the need to set up specific Act-On Connector users in your CRM with limited permissions for each account. This may result in significant CRM license savings.

In addition to the filters, we've added the option to select what overall entities to sync. For clients who don't use contacts or don't use leads, this is an easy way to control what ends up in Act-On.

When

This feature will be starting beta in June-July 2025 (depending on the CRM). If you are interested in participating in the beta or learning more, please sign up here.

Customer Impact

Once beta is complete, this feature will be available on the Data Management page for all customers with a connected CRM. It has the benefit of giving you more control over what syncs for improved security between accounts and potentially reduces CRM costs.

When using the filtered sync, contacts who are in Act-On and no longer meet the criteria for the filter will be removed upon the next full sync, which typically occurs about every 2 weeks. This interval can be shortened if required.
