Before contacting Support for assistance with this plugin:
- Uninstall the plugin and install it again
- Get the log file from the following folder on your computer:
If creating a ticket, make sure to attach this file to your request
Following these steps before you open a case will speed up the resolution of your issue.
Check the settings on your operating system. The notification comes as a system pop-up via the Outlook application. There should be a Notifications screen in your computer's settings that controls how these pop-ups appear.
In order to login via the Outlook Plugin, please ensure your password for Act-On does not contain any special characters. If this is currently set as a policy under your account profile, this restriction will have to be adjusted in order to use the plugin.
Property 'Type' Cannot Be Parsed
If you encounter the following error when running the executable:
The value of the property 'type' cannot be parsed. The error is: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.BusinessApplications.Fba,Version22.214.171.124, Cuslture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0\VSTOINstaller.exe.Config line 10)
- Right-click the executable
- Select Run as Administrator

If the installer shows the error: "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: entryValue":
- Close all Outlook windows
- Hold the Windows key and press R to open the Run window (bottom left)
- Type in %localappdata%\apps (or copy/paste)
- Click OK
- Delete the folder named 2.0
Note: If you see an error about missing permissions, reboot your computer and try to delete again
- Repeat the installation steps
