Sometimes you need to remove a segment from Act-On. Depending on your goals, you may wish to delete the segment or archive it for later access. Read on for instructions to do this for your Act-On Contacts.
Delete a Segment
Deleting a segment will permanently remove the segment definition, but will not remove the contacts. However, all child segments will also be deleted.
- Navigate to Contacts > All Contacts > Folders.
- Hover over the segment name.
- Click More Options
- Select Delete Segment.
- Click Confirm.
Delete Multiple Segments
- Navigate to Contacts > All Contacts > Folders.
- Use the checkbox to the left of each segment to select the ones you wish to delete.
- Hover over and click More Options from the blue menu bar located at the top of the Folder window.
- Click Delete Segment.
- Click Confirm.
Archive a Segment (Coming Soon)
Archiving a segment will disable it, so you won’t be able to pick it for use in email, automated programs, or other areas of Act-On, however, it will preserve the definition for future restoration, if needed.
