Sometimes you need to remove a segment from Act-On. Depending on your goals, you may wish to delete the segment or archive it for later access. Read on for instructions to do this for your Audience Center segments.
Some system-generated segments, such as All Act-On Contacts and other CRM-related segments, cannot be deleted.
Delete a Segment
Deleting a segment will permanently remove the segment definition, but will not remove the contacts. However, all child segments will also be deleted.
- Go to Audience Center > All Contacts.
- Hover over the segment name.
- Click More actions.
- Select Delete segment.
- Click Confirm.
Delete Multiple Segments
- Go to Audience Center > All Contacts.
- Use the checkboxes to the left of each segment to select the ones you wish to delete.
