Stopping an automated program to make an edit

Gregg Clawson
I recently started an automated program and noticed an image link was missing from several emails in the campaign. I don't know how this happened as the image is still in my content library. I was wondering if stopping the program to fix this would cause any issues. Would the program restart from the beginning once I started it again? Would it pick up where it left off? Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Hi Gregg,

Stopping an automated program will pause all of the contacts running through in their current steps, where they will begin from when you start the program back up.

If you just need to edit the program messages, you can do so without stopping the program at all.

You can look under Outbound>Other Messages>Triggered Messages, then select the Programs tab at the top to see all of your messages that are being used in automated programs.  You can edit them from here without needing to stop the program.

I hope this helps.  Good luck with your campaign!

I've been using ActOn for over a year and had no idea the Triggered messages were linked to the Automated programs! Never knew to look.
