Act-On + Direct Mail
If I started with a vanity URL for my prospect John Doe:
www.mycompany.com/JohnDoe
I could configure my Web site to redirect that URL to the landing page on my Act-On subdomain, marketing.mycompany.com:
www.mycompany.com/JohnDoe --- redirects to ----> marketing.mycompany.com/acton/fs/blocks/showLandingPage/<token>
Is there a way to know what the <token> value would be so that John Doe's personalized info would pull from the list to populate the landing page?
Thanks,

Good news and less-good news!
Less-good: Landing pages (and the forms on them) cannot pull info directly from an Act-On list to populate those fields (unless the visitor click to the Landing Page directly from an Act-On email).
GOOD news: There IS a way to still make your direct mailer and personalized URL work - you will need to hard code your personalized URL with UTM parameters telling the Landing Page what the various field values should be.
Example:
www.mycompany.com/JohnDoe --- redirects to ----> marketing.mycompany.com/acton/fs/blocks/showLandingPage/?FirstName=John&LastName=Doe
In this example the 'First Name' field on the Form on your LP would need to have a Field Name of 'FirstName'
You would also want to use a UTM of Email= (or whatever field you use for email address).
Side note: you will want to put the UTM parameters after the entirety of the Act-On Landing Page URL.
The UTM parameters are a safeguard measure, because the cookie on the end-user's browser could populate the correct information on the form/landing page - but there's a LOT of room for error there.
I hope this helps!
Have a great day and Happy Marketing!

I am wondering if there is a way to send a direct mail piece that includes a custom vanity URL that would bring users to a personalized Act-On landing page.

I thought that this was only possible with a hidden field? Are you sure it will also work with normal input field? I tested this couple months ago and did not work.
