Update on GDPR Resources from Act-On Support

Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a Technical Solutions Engineer on the Support team at Act-On. As a new Actonian, it has been great getting to know you and gaining an understanding of how you use the platform to accomplish your marketing efforts. I'd like to first say thank you for all of your patience while I and the other new members of our Support team are getting up to speed.


I see that many of you are actively discussing your GDPR implementation concerns via this Community forum. It's really great to see the ideas and experiences you are sharing with each other.


The GDPR launch date is fast approaching and we wanted to take this opportunity to point you towards resources which may help you implement GDPR within the Act-On application. Our Support team is committed to your success in being prepared for GDPR, and although we cannot provide legal advice for compliance to GDPR, we do aim to provide the tools and best practices for your business.

We have a new landing page posted in Act-On University which will connect you to our most common GDPR Resources, and this page is updated frequently.  GDPR Resources - Act-On University

Recently, we have released our Contact Erase Tool to support customers with the Right to be Forgotten requests.  You can view our support documentation on how to use this new tool here: User Guide: Contact Erase Tool


We also receive a few common requests for additional features which are not available at this time (coming soon!). These requests include:

  • Ability to customize the Beacon Cookie pop-up messaging & styling (ie for the Beacon Tracker's 'Opt-In with Opt-Out' mode).
  • Improved Subscription Management to enable double opt-in.

I do encourage you to submit your feature requests in our Community group and to vote for those which would be most helpful to you.

    Hi Folks! I'm sharing a quick update that the Erase Contact Tool was scheduled for release last night but we had to push this back to May 25th. Hang tight!
