Can I prevent the Email Header (Click to view in a browser) from showing up in the subject line of the email?

We include a header section in most emails that includes 'click to view in a browser' and sometimes other relevant text. However, we would prefer that it does NOT show up on the subject line in the email program (e.g., gmail). If the subject is quite short, the beginning text from the email shows up in the subject line:
See what's new Click to view in a browser...
If we add preview text on the Address tab, and that pushes the header text over, but I remember reading somewhere that there is a way to mask the header text or whatever is displayed first in the email body.
Ideas anyone?

Hello Christine,
I know it's been a long time and maybe you already figured it out, but what I do is that I usually break the subject line in two and put the second part in the preview text box, and when they are short messages I repeat them on both lines!
Best regards!
