Creating a Master List

Hi Everyone-

I want to make one master list for segmentation purposes. Right now, I have two 'master' lists, one for all contacts from sales force (this is to capture all of the people who are part of an account, so we can do customer marketing too) and then all leads from salesforce.

So ideally I bring in one list that has everyone, which I can create a report that has that but I don't think I can have a non-standard report sync with Salesforce daily right??

Or, should I keep these separate?

I also have a master list for all emails sent to from Act-On (because we don't pass to Salesforce unless it's a marketing response). This has helped me have a better understanding of what our sending behavior is. Common segments I have off of that are:
- Key industries and personas
- Total Opt outs and Bounces
  - Opt out by subscription category
- Not sent (inactive) emails in last 7, 30, 60, and 180 days
- Ever submitted a form on site
- Visited website in past week
- Has Salesforce ID (that matches email)

We often have Salesforce CRM users that want a global master list (including Leads and Contact). This can be made possible by building a Salesforce Campaign. Campaigns can contain Leads and Contacts in the same list and we also have push and pull capability with this list when syncing.

Glad it's helpful! Thought of another use case to mention: Search for a specific email address we have sent to in the past. It's MUCH faster than the old global search that Act-On has since eliminated. I've used it before to find a direct response prospect and push them into Salesforce, double-check if someone got invited to an event, or figure out why they didn't get an email.

Just create segment Email equals ' ' and plug in when needed. :)
