Master List vs. CRM List
0 Votes
Hi all - Looking for some quick clarification here, while rebuilding an act-on instance from the ground-up. Assuming we *only* want to market to leads that already exist in our CRM (salesforce, in this case), what are the advantages of creating a 'Master List' based off the CRM list, as opposed to segmenting and running programs off of the CRM list itself?
Thank you,

HI @Daniel Schmieding,
If you marketing ONLY to Leads (meaning the Lead object in your CRM, NOT Contacts/Persons/etc) - then there isn't really a benefit of using a Master list vs. the default CRM Leads list.
If however, you will be using Leads and Contacts, then the CRM Master List provides a single list with all prospects/customers in it to segment from.
If you go down that route, I have created this guide on creating a CRM-specific Master List.
Hopefully that answers your question - if not, please let me know what else you would like to know and I'll be happy to help.
Have a great day and Happy Marketing!
