Ramp-up process

Hi,

One of our new customers is going to launch a weekly COVID-related health survey to about 20'000 contacts. Following deliverability best practices, we've advised them to gradually increase the number of recipients, doubling them every couple of days over a 2-week period.

I'm looking for suggestions on how to handle this volume increase in Act-On as automatically as possible.

Right now, I'm thinking of assigning a number between 1 and 20'000 to each contact and creating a segment based on this value. This segment would then feed the automated program in charge of the campaign. During the ramp-up period, the segment criteria would be manually increased every couple of days : up to #500 for the first batch, up to #1'000 for the second batch, etc.

Has anyone already dealt with this ramp-up process? How would you assign an incremental value to each contact in a CRM-synced list? How would you manage the gradual increase in the least manual way?

Thank you very much for any insight.

Hi François, hope you are well!

I saw your post and was wondering what if you create an A/B Split and define the sizes of lists you need?

Create a Base Live segment for your Ramp Up and then do the split

So end result would look something like that?

    I hope this helps

    Happy marketing!

    Hi Tatiana !

Thank you for your quick reply and for pointing me to this A/B split feature. It is definitely useful to be able to accurately split a segment, I'll keep this in mind. In this particular context however, this would force us to include each split segment into the AP before it's launched, preventing us to adjust the sending time for each of them based on the previous splits' engagement results. Is that right?
