New Option to Set Landing Page Language Parameter
0 Votes
We've released a new setting for Landing Pages that allows you to set page language:
- Product Area
- Content > Landing Pages
- Specific navigation path: Landing Pages > Edit > Design > Edit Page Properties
- Background
- Canadian province of Ontario requires compliance with the AODA standard which equates to WCAG 2.0 compliance.
- Specifically this means that for impacted Canadian customers, Act-On landing pages must include the HTML “lang” parameter in the HTML markup.
- Previously our landing page properties did not include an option to set page language. After this change, that option is provided in the landing page design view.
- Customer Impact
- Customers now have the option to set the language of the landing page:
- Default option is “unselected” meaning that the HTML “lang” parameter is only added if a language is selected.
- Language selection is specific to each landing page and cannot be set on an account or bulk basis.
- Page language is optional but can help you meet accessibility standards and helps browsers provide automatic page translations.
