Reminder to Allow Network Traffic from Act-On’s IP Ranges
Act-On will be making some changes to network settings, so we want to take a moment to remind you of the best way to allow traffic from Act-On.
We ask that you use our owned IP ranges, not specific IP addresses, when allowing traffic through your network firewall. While we do list certain specific IPs to allow, if you are allowing any single IPs that are part of a listed range, you should allow the range instead. This is a networking best practice that allows us to make changes to optimize our own network without causing disruption to your services.
While our IP ranges are not changing, we are making such changes to our network on Saturday, January 8th 2022 that will change the IP address for egress (outbound) traffic. We only expect this to impact Act-On accounts that have one of the following characteristics:
- You receive Data Studio exports to a service that is behind a firewall (such as via SFTP)
- You have an On-Prem CRM that is connected to Act-On (SugarCRM, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor CRM), and your CRM is behind a firewall
For these accounts, this change may cause traffic to be blocked by firewalls, resulting in incorrect/outdated data and/or loss of data that is critical to important Act-On use cases, such as lost/missing Data Studio exports, lead scores not syncing, missing lead generation in the CRM, and missing CRM notifications/alerts that are sourced from Act-On automation.
If you are already allowing our IP ranges, no action is required. If you have not made these changes yet, you should update your allowed IPs to match our ranges instead of any single IPs.
Please check with your CRM Administrator and/or IT Administrator and ask them to confirm your firewall settings. Our IPs to allow are listed here: Act-On IPs to Allow
To avoid a disruption of services, we recommend that you confirm or update your network settings no later than Friday, January 7th, 2022.
