  We follow the rule that as long as the automated profiling does not have negative implications for the contact, you do not have to ask for consent. But you have to explain what you are doing and give opt-out options in your privacy statement.
  
  This is what we understood and hear as the general rule of thumb. The profiling is pretty important for MA and digital advertising in general.
