Seedlists

Hi Paula! There are a few ways to do this. Probably the simplest one is to create a standalone list with your marketing team on it, and just make to add this list on every email send, Automated Program, etc. in addition to the main customer/prospect list(s) you are using. So for example if we wanted all Act-On employees to get a specific webinar invite, we'd use two lists:

    Hi Chris,

We do have staff added in to our emails in a separate list.

The challenge is that if staff members are registered attendees of the event the email is promoting, then they are in the suppression list and the platform automatically excludes them from the send list. I currently know of no way to override that within the platform settings.

    Thanks,

    Paula

Hi Paula - gotcha, that makes sense. You're spot on that there is no way to override that directly.

What I would recommend then is to create a list of secondary email addresses for your marketing staff, but they would have to be separate emails from the one they use to attend your events. Some email providers, including Gmail/G Suite, allow you to create "aliases" with the + sign. So if your email was paula@example.com you could use paula+marketing@example.com on your internal staff list and you'd still receive the message at your regular inbox. We use that technique at Act-On all the time for testing signups/messages!

Hope that helps somewhat. Happy to talk through some more options if that doesn't work for your ESP.
