enabling withdrawal from database

Hi,
I'm (still) working on GDPR and am trying to enable withdrawal from our database. I've followed all the steps in Act-on's guide.
1. Create form
2. Embed in landing page.
3. Edit Sub Mgmt page to add link to landing page/form.
4. Create segment in master list.
5. Clear records in the segment.

However, while the last step does clear records from our master list, it's not completely removing the contact from the database. It's still in signup lists, and subscription management, for example.

Does anyone know how to completely remove a contact?

Thanks!
Anne

  • Hi Anne

Perhaps you already watched the Act-On GDPR webinar on 2 May, but here we were told that there will soon be a functionality that lets you search for a given contact and delete them from all lists they are in, together with their tracking history and 'background' data.

It is something many of us have been asking for clarity about for months now, so hopefully we will see the functionality in the next couple of weeks.
