The Undo, Redo, and History features help you edit confidently in the composer. These tools let you step backward or forward through your recent changes, or jump directly to a specific edit in your timeline.
Quick Reference (Advanced Users) - Click to Expand
- Undo: Step back one edit.
- Redo: Reapply the last undone edit.
- History: View up to 15 recent actions from the current session.
- Jump: Click any timeline entry to revert instantly to that state.
- Session-based: History resets when the browser session ends.
User Interface
After you make a change, the Undo widget appears in the bottom-left corner of the builder. It includes three tools:
- Undo: Move back one step in your editing history.
- Redo: Move forward one step to reapply a previously undone action.
- History: Open a timeline of your recent edits.
History Timeline
Clicking the History icon opens a panel displaying up to 15 of your most recent actions. Each entry includes:
- Type icon: Shows what kind of content changed (image, text, block, etc.).
- Description: Details of the change, often including updated values.
- Timestamp: When the edit occurred.
- User: The name of the user who made the change.
These details make it easy to identify exactly which version you want to return to.
Selecting Previous Steps
Click any entry in the History panel to jump to that version of your design. The builder highlights the content that was changed for added clarity.
Persistence & Limitations
Your Undo history stores up to 15 recent edits but only within the current browser session. If you close or refresh the browser, the history resets.
You can always return to the state where the design was first opened by selecting the “opened” entry in the timeline.
Using Undo, Redo, and History gives you the freedom to experiment and refine your design without fear of making mistakes.
