Event Content Block

Add details for in-person or online events directly into your design using the Event Content Block.

Quick Reference (Advanced Users) – Click to Expand
  • Add: Drag the Event block into your layout.
  • Set format: Choose In person or Online.
  • Required: Event name + date/time + timezone.
  • Online: Select event type, enter link & passcode.
  • In person: Choose or enter address; optional map & room details.
  • Extras: Add registration button & optional video conferencing.
  • Edit: Select the block → Manage event.
Try it like this: Create a hybrid event by selecting In person and then adding video conferencing details so attendees can join on-site or online.

How to Add an Event

  1. In the Content tab, under Additional content, drag the Event block into your design.

  2. Click Manage event and choose In person or Online.
  3. Enter your Event name (required) and an optional Description. These details are displayed in your design.
  4. Set your event’s date and time:
    • Select Start date, Start time, and End time. Ensure you choose AM or PM correctly and click Apply.
    • If you choose All day, also select an End date.
    • Choose the correct Time zone for the event.

Online Events

For Online events:

  • Under Event format, click Select and choose the online event type (search is available).
  • Enter the meeting Link and Passcode.

In-Person Events

For In person events:

  • In the / Address section, keep the Default Account Address or click Change to:
    • Select your User Address or another saved Account Address.
    • Click Use a custom address to enter a specific location.

      Custom addresses entered here are not added to your Act-On account’s saved addresses.
  • Add room details if needed.
  • Include map to address to display a map of the venue.
  • Include registration button to request attendee sign-ups. Enter the Button text and Registration link where recipients will register.

  1.  
    • To offer an online option for an in-person event, click Add video conferencing and enter the online event details (as described above).

When finished, click Create event. Your event details appear in your design.

Block options allow you to adjust padding or hide on mobile or desktop. For Landing Pages, you can also set a block identifier for internal links. Learn more

Editing an Event

To edit an existing event, select the Event block and click Manage event in the sidebar.

Along with the event name, location, and description, notice in this example:

  • Registration button.
  • A map with a link to Google Maps.
  • Add to calendar links for Apple, Google, Outlook, and Yahoo.
