New Email Composer Launch

  • Updated

What’s Changing

We are excited to announce that the new Email Composer has come to prime time as the primary email creation experience in Act-On!

Label Transition

Emails and templates created using the new composer will no longer be tagged as “BETA”. Additionally, any email or template created using the old composer will now be tagged as “Legacy” in all lists:

Entry Points

When starting a new email from any of the following options, the new composer will be the default option:

  • Blank Message
  • Upload Email Code
  • Plain Text Message

The following options will continue to work the same as they do today, allowing you to select a previously created message or template regardless of which composer was used to create it:

  • Draft Message
  • Template Message
  • Sent Message

For now, the old composer will continue to be available and will be accessible below the primary options:

Customer Impact

The default composer experience has a more modern look and feel, and an improved user experience.

You will still be able to use any previously sent emails or old templates as your starting point, or you can save time building in the new composer by taking advantage of one of the thousands of modern templates that will soon be available in our updated template catalog (also launched on November 11, 2024).

If you have a specific use case that you aren’t sure how to address in the new composer, please contact support.
