What’s Changing
Live Preview URL for Email Drafts and Templates
You can now access a live preview URL for your email drafts and templates, similar to the existing feature in the new Landing Page Composer. This allows you to easily share a real-time view of your email with external stakeholders and integrate with third-party content review platforms for streamlined collaboration.
- Access the live preview link directly from the "Preview mode" interface.
- Saved changes to your email design will be visible in the live preview upon refreshing the page.
- The live preview will not merge personalization token values, ensuring a consistent base view for review.
- All dynamic content will be displayed.
- Live previews will not track opens or clicks.
- This feature supports all three email types: Beefree, HTML, and plain text.
Combined Personalization and Dynamic Content Preview
The new Email Composer preview now allows you to simultaneously preview your email design with both personalization and dynamic content toggled on for an email draft. Previously, you could only preview one or the other. This enhancement significantly reduces manual validation efforts and increases your confidence in how the final email will appear to recipients.
- When both personalization and dynamic content are toggled on, the selected sample recipient will determine which dynamic content is displayed based on their contact-level data.
- You can select from a list of up to 20 sample recipients (or the entire recipient list, whichever is greater) to preview how the email will render for different contacts. You cannot change which recipients appear in this list, but you can select any of the provided options.
When
These features were released on July 31, 2025.
Customer Impact
These new preview capabilities will empower Act-On users to more efficiently review and validate their email content before sending. The live preview URL facilitates external collaboration and content approval workflows, while the combined personalization and dynamic content preview reduces the risk of errors and ensures your segmented messaging is delivered as intended.
Both features will be made immediately available upon release, without any additional action required by customers.
