Use the Act-On bundle in NetSuite to view Act-On engagement activity directly within NetSuite. Sales users can see email interactions, form submissions, website visits, and lead score information without leaving NetSuite.

This article focuses on NetSuite-side configuration and visibility. It assumes the Act-On and NetSuite integration is already connected and syncing.
Install the Act-On CRM Portal bundle
- Sign in to NetSuite using an Administrator role.
- Go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles.
- Search for the keyword Act-On Portal.
- Select Act-On CRM Portal for NetSuite and click Install.
Enable required NetSuite features
- Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.
- Open the SuiteCloud subtab.
- Enable the following features:
- Client SuiteScript
- Server SuiteScript
- REST Web Services
- OAuth 2.0
- NetSuite as OIDC Provider
- Click Save.
Configure Sales Seat role permissions and audience
To allow Sales Seat users to view Act-On activity and dashboards in NetSuite, you must update role permissions and configure the OIDC audience. These steps are required.
Update role permissions for Sales Seat users
- Go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
- Edit the role used by your Sales Seat users.
- Under Permissions > Lists, add:
- Employees with level View
- Under Permissions > Setup, add:
- Log in using OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens with level Full
- REST Web Services with level Full
- Click Save.
Configure the OIDC audience for Sales Seat users
- Go to Setup > Integration > NetSuite as OIDC Provider Setup.
- Click Act-On OIDC Integration Record (Production).
- Under Entities > Employees, select Select All.
- Under Roles, search for and add the role or roles used by your Sales Seat users.
- Click Save.
If these permissions or audience settings are missing, Sales Seat users may see empty dashboards or missing Act-On activity in NetSuite, even though the bundle is installed.
Create the Act-On tab
- Go to Customization > Centers and Tabs > Center Tabs > New.
- Enter the label Act-On.
- Select the appropriate center (for example, All).
- Under Content, add a category named Act-On and configure a Custom Portlet.
- Click Save.
Set up the Act-On portlet
- Open the Act-On tab.
- Click Personalize and drag a Custom Portlet into the layout.
- Open the portlet menu and click Set Up.
- Select Act-On Dashboard Portlet as the source.
- Click Save.
Troubleshooting: duplicate Activity History
In some cases, the Act-On bundle may add two Activity History subtabs. Remove the duplicate subtab to avoid confusion.
- Go to Customization > Forms > Entry Forms.
- Edit the preferred entry form for Customers, Leads, or Prospects.
- Scroll to Subtabs and clear the duplicate Act-On Activity History.
- Click Save.
