What you can do after setup
- Sync NetSuite records into Act-On on a schedule.
- Map NetSuite fields to Act-On fields so the data is usable for segmentation and automation.
- Use Act-On activity to support sales follow-up and visibility in NetSuite (where available in your NetSuite configuration).
Before you start
- Access: You need Administrator access in both NetSuite and Act-On to complete the connection.
- Time: Plan 30 to 60 minutes for initial setup, depending on your NetSuite configuration and internal approval process.
- Where the work happens: Some steps are completed in NetSuite (enabling features, creating an integration, permissions). Some steps are completed in Act-On (selecting records, mapping fields, and setting sync behavior).
Choose the correct sync path
There are two sync articles because Act-On accounts can store and manage contact data in different ways. Choose the option that matches how your account is set up:
-
Act-On Contacts: Use this path if your account uses Act-On Contacts to manage and segment contact data.
Sync NetSuite Data to Act-On Contacts -
Marketing Lists: Use this path if your account primarily uses Marketing Lists to store and manage contacts.
Sync NetSuite Data to Marketing Lists
If you are not sure which option applies, start with Step 1 below. During sync setup, you will be guided by the available options in your account.
Set up the integration in order
Step 1: Connect NetSuite to Act-On
This is the one-time technical setup that creates a secure connection between NetSuite and Act-On. You must complete this step before you can sync data.
Step 2: Synchronize NetSuite data to Act-On
This step is where you select the NetSuite records you want to bring into Act-On, map fields, and define how updates are handled.
After setup
Once your sync is configured, you are done with initial setup. Next, you can confirm visibility and usage by reviewing how Act-On data appears in NetSuite:
