Use the Menu content block to create a text-based navigation menu in your email or landing page design. Menus work well for multi-section layouts such as newsletters, resource hubs, or long-form landing pages.

- Insert: Drag the Menu block from Additional content.
- Menu items: Add items → choose link type → optional hover title.
- Supported links: URLs, files, email links, tel links, internal scroll links (Landing Pages).
- Formatting: Horizontal/vertical layout, separators, font settings, colors, spacing.
- Mobile menu (Landing Pages): Convert menu to a collapsible icon.
How to Use the Menu Content Block
Drag the Menu content block from the Additional content area of the Content tab into your design, then select the block to access Menu Properties in the sidebar.
Add Menu Items
Click + Add New Item for each item you want to include and configure:
- Text: Enter the label for the menu item.

Link type: Choose what happens when the menu item is clicked.

Open web page:
- Enter a destination URL.
To link to an anchor, enter the anchor name prefixed with#(e.g.,#lorem). The name must match exactly. - Click Link file to select from your Act-On image & logo library.
- Target: Choose to open in the same or new page.
- Enter a destination URL.
- Send email: Specify the email address, subject, and body.
- Make call: Enter a phone number (ideal for mobile-focused designs).

Open web page:
- Title: Optionally add hover text that appears when the user pauses over the menu item.
To reorder items, click and drag (at the top left of each menu item).
Menu Formatting
Use the Menu Properties panel to configure:
- Font family, weight, and size
- Text and link color
- Alignment
- Letter spacing
- Padding around menu items
- Layout: Choose a vertical list or horizontal menu. Horizontal menus support separators (see example).
Block options are available to configure padding and hide on mobile or desktop.
Example: Using a Menu with Anchor Links
You can combine Menu items with anchor links to help readers jump to different sections of a newsletter.
- Add two anchors (each with an HTML Content Block) as explained here. In this example, the anchors are named
#casestudiesand#webinars. - Near the top of the design, add a Menu block and create a Menu Item for each anchor (as described above). Example:
