Embedding the Code for an Act-On Form on Your Website

  • Updated
It's easy to embed Act-On Forms into any of your external web pages. This guide explains how.
These steps are for New Forms only. Embedding Classic Forms involves a different process.

Once your form is created and ready to publish, you can get the embed code and insert it into your website. You will need access to the web page source code to do this.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Content > Forms and hover over the relevant Form.
  2. Click the pencil icon to open the editor.
  3. Select the Embed tab, then choose External Pages.

  1. Click Save on the Form for these changes to take effect
  2. Under External Pages, select Embed Code.

Use Website Styling When Embedding a Form

When exporting an Act-On Form to embed on a website, the Include CSS option controls whether the default Act-On styling is applied. If the website already has its own styling and you'd prefer to manage the Form's appearance there:
  1. Open the Form you want & in the Embed tab, select Embed Code.
  2. Untick the Include CSS checkbox:

  1. Click Copy Code, then OK.
  2. Open the HTML editor for the web page that will host the Form.
    • If you do not have access to the HTML of your page, contact your webmaster or developer.
  3. Paste the embed code exactly where you want the Form to appear.
(This may be called a Custom Content Block in your website editor)
  4. Save and test the page – your Form should appear.
