You can connect one SugarCRM account to several Act-On accounts. In doing so, make sure to monitor which records are imported and marketed to in each Act-On account.
- To set up the connection you'll need to use the SugarCRM Administrator’s login.
Create/Ensure Non-Global Teams are Setup in SugarCRM
To link one SugarCRM account to multiple Act-On accounts, use SugarCRM Teams during package installation. More information from Sugar is here.
- Using the SugarCRM Teams feature, connect with a SugarCRM user from a specific non-global SugarCRM team for each Act-On account.
This ensures that each team only accesses the records relevant to its corresponding Act-On account, allowing for filtered leads and contacts in Act-On.

Important Considerations
Consider the following when using multiple Act-On accounts in one SugarCRM instance:
-
Activity history is associated with the Act-On account linked to your Sales User license.
Combining Act-On accounts won't merge, transfer, or cross-reference activity history. - Lead scores should be created separately for each Act-On account to avoid overwriting in SugarCRM.
-
Multiple Act-On accounts mean multiple CNames and website tracking beacons.
Ensure all associated beacons are added to the relevant web pages for tracking. -
Each record is cookie'd per account
Visitors can't be merged across accounts. -
Lists need to be imported into both Act-On accounts.
You can control which records are imported into each Act-On account based on the connected team user. - Form pushes could override existing data if coming from different Act-On instances.
- API calls are used from both Act-On accounts.
