Email Launch Exceeds Account Send Limit for Marketing Network Accounts

  • Updated

If your email launch fails with a message that reads "Launch exceeds account send limit," it means the managed account you're sending from doesn't have enough Active Contacts provisioned to cover the send. Here's how to check how many Active Contacts are assigned and increase that number if needed.

Why this matters: Marketing Network accounts each have a set number of Active Contacts they're allowed to send to. If a send exceeds that number, the launch is blocked until you reassign enough Active Contacts to the account - so it's worth checking this as soon as you see the error.
  1. Go to Marketing Network > Account Management > Accounts tab.
  2. Find the account you want & if its number of Active Contacts is lower than the expected List send, hover over the account & from the More actions menu, click Assign active contacts:

Selecting Assign active contacts from the More actions menu for an account

  1. Edit the number of Active contacts as required. Use the maximum & minimum numbers as a guide:
    • Maximum reflects the amount of Active Contacts that have been provisioned to this specific managed account plus what is available in the main account total for distribution.
    • Minimum reflects the number of Active Contacts currently used by the managed account during the current month period. You are not able to drop the number of Active Contacts below what has already been used.
