Syncing Opt-Outs with your MS Dynamics account

Pull Opt Out from MS Dynamics

Pull in any Contact or Lead records from MS Dynamics where the default Do not allow Emails and/or Do not allow Bulk Emails field is checked and add their email to the Act-On Opt-Out list.

 

This sync does NOT process Opt-Ins. For example, if a contact/lead is in the Act-On Opt-Out list and the Do not allow Emails field in MS Dynamics is unchecked by a user, the record will not be removed from the Act-On Opt-Out list - this must be processed within Act-On manually.

Push Opt In/Out to MS Dynamics

Push the Act-On Opt-Out list to your MS Dynamics account and update the default fields Do not allow Emails and Do not allow Bulk Emails:

  • to checked if they are on the Act-On Opt-Out list
  • to unchecked if they were previously opted out but have opted back in within Act-On

 

Fields

All opt-out syncs with MS Dynamics will sync with both of the following fields:

Field Name API Name

Do not allow Emails 

DoNotEmail

Do not allow Bulk Emails

DoNotBulkEmail

 

Setup Instructions

  1. Go to Settings > Data Management and select the Sync Schedule tab
  2. At the bottom of this page, select the pull/push options for opt outs:
    • Pull Opt Out from MS Dynamics
    • Push Opt In/Out to MS Dynamics
  3. If desired, set the Synchronization Schedule for a recurring sync.
  4. Click Save at the top of the page. The Opt-In/Out sync will run on the next scheduled time.

You can also click Sync Now to immediately initiate a CRM sync, which will push/pull your Opt-Outs as configured.
