Attach files to emails by adding them as download buttons or links. This lets recipients click to download a hosted file rather than receiving a traditional attachment.

- Use a Media File Download block to add a download button.
- Choose the file from your Act-On Media Library and set an expiration date, label, and icon.
- Use a Rich Text block with Link to Media to add a text or image download link.
- All files must be uploaded to the Media Library before you can link to them.

In the Design tab, open the Content panel on the right and drag the Media File Download block (paper clip icon) into your message:
- Configure the download settings:
- Media File: Click Select to choose a file from your Act-On Media Library.
- Download Expiration Date: Enter a date for the download link to expire, if needed.
- Download Button Label: Enter the text you want to display on the button.
- Label Graphic: Optionally upload a label graphic. If you do not select one, the button displays a default Download icon.
- When you are done, click OK.

Add as a Link

Hover over a Rich Text block in your message and click the Pencil icon to edit.
- Place your cursor where you want the link to appear, or highlight existing text or an image to turn it into a link.
- In the toolbar, click Link to Media (paper clip icon).
- In the Media Library window, select the file you want to link to.
- Click Save to close the Rich Text editor and update your email.
