Create Content Fragments and Saved Sections in Forms

  • Updated

Content fragments allow you to save and reuse specific input fields, content blocks, and sections across your Act-On Forms. If you frequently use the same content block or section in multiple Forms, save it as a content fragment in the Forms Composer and add that fragment to any Form you'd like. This helps you ensure that your Forms, form fields, and list data stay consistent.

Example Scenario: Forms capture contacts' addresses via four fields: Street Address, Suite Number, State, and Country. Instead of manually entering these address fields on every Form, you can create a content fragment for a section with all four fields to save time.

Create a Saved Section

Save an entire section of content blocks in the Forms Composer as one fragment to reuse across your Act-On Forms. In the below example, we'll save a Form section with multiple fields, First Name, Last Name, and Email, as a single content fragment.

To create a content fragment from a Form section:

  1. Go to the Design tab.
  2. Hover over the section you'd like to use as a fragment and click Section Settings.

FAQs

Why can't I see all of my content fragments?

If you don't see all of your content fragments on the Content > Content Fragments page, you may have a Fragment Type filter (on the left) enabled to only display Sections or Blocks. Simply click on the radio button to turn off the fragment type filter to see all fragments.
