Removing Contacts from Wait Steps Manually

The Wait Until step allows you to pause contacts from moving forward until a specific day and/or time. However, sometimes a contact may accidentally get into a program that shouldn't be there. Any contacts in a "wait" type step (Wait / Wait Until / Wait Until In Segment) can be manually removed from the program. Once removed, the contact will immediately exit the program.

Here's how to move those contacts out of the program:

  1. Click Automation > Automated Programs.

  2. Find the program that you need to remove a contact from, hover over it, and then click Show dashboard:

  3. In Report > Steps, find the wait step the contacts are in, and click the number of waiting contacts, here:

  4. Locate the line for the contact you need to delete and on the right, click Exit Contact:
