Act-On now lets admins turn off the open-tracking pixel that's normally added to outbound email. Once enabled, no email sent from your account, whether through a standard bulk send, the BEE editor, or a transactional/API send, carries that pixel.
What's Changing
A new account-level setting for open tracking. Under Custom Account Settings → Security and Policy, admins will find a new toggle, Suppress Email Tracking Pixel. It's off by default, so nothing changes for any account unless an admin turns it on.
One switch, the whole account. There's no per-recipient, per-segment, or per-country control today. Turning it on removes the pixel from every send going forward. Click tracking is unaffected and keeps working as it always has.
Built for a specific need. This setting was added in response to recent regulatory activity in France (CNIL) and Italy (Garante) around consent for email open tracking. It's a technical control, not legal guidance, and turning it on isn't a statement that an account is compliant with any regulation.
When
Available now for all accounts. Admins can turn it on at any time from Custom Account Settings.
Customer Impact
Admins who need to stop collecting open data, whether for a specific region's requirements or their own policy reasons, now have a direct way to do it without contacting Support.
Because several features read from open data, turning this on has effects beyond reporting. Engagement segments built on opens, program branches that check whether someone opened an email, open rate reporting, and Predictive Lead Score will all treat every contact as a non-opener going forward. Historical data already collected isn't affected, only sends after the setting is turned on.
