On October 28, 2026, every Act-On account moves to the new Outbound Email experience. Your draft, scheduled, awaiting approval, failed, and sent messages live together in one place, with folders, tags, and favorites that work across all of them and engagement numbers that better reflect real human activity. Here's what to expect and how to get ready.
What's Changing
- One place for every standard message. Draft, scheduled, awaiting approval, failed, and sent messages share one listing under Email > Outbound Messages > Standard Messages, with the same folders, tags, and favorites across all of them.
- One page per email. The Email Detail page shows a message the same way from draft through sent, with quick links to its segments and contacts
- Cleaner engagement numbers. Your account's True Open filter settings, which remove activity from link scanners, security previews, and privacy systems, are shown right where you read opens and clicks. Admins control these settings.
- More download options. Generate a PDF of the report, download the email preview as a PDF with or without the clickmap, or export the email's HTML and plain text as a ZIP. Rollup and drilldown CSVs can include profile fields for Audience Center contacts.
The classic pages for sent, draft, scheduled, awaiting approval, and failed messages will redirect to the new experience. Test, A/B, and RSS messages keep their current pages, reached through the new "Email" navigation link in the side bar. If your account already uses the new experience, the only change is that the option to switch back goes away.
What's Going Away
- New original emails and landing pages in the legacy composers. Blank, upload code, and plain-text-only emails, and new landing pages, start in the new composers. You can still start from existing legacy emails and templates, just not create entirely new ones.
- Marketing list profile fields in report CSVs. Profile fields remain available for Audience Center contacts. For marketing lists, download the list and join it to the report in Excel. If that doesn't work for your team, contact Support.
- Draft and sent search in the top navigation bar. Search from the Outbound Messages listing instead.
- Creating a new message from the side navigation. Navigate to Email > Outbound Messages and click "Create message" instead.
- The per-user Hide Folders setting for drafts. Instead, you can pin folders to the top of the list.
When
The new experience is scheduled to become the sole experience for all account on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
