New CRM Email Alerts for Sync Errors

  • Updated

What's Changing

Customers with an integrated CRM (SalesForce, Dynamics, Sugar or NetSuite) can opt in to receive email alerts when sync errors occur.  This feature expands on prior alerts that would notify users of an overall connection error.  Now, alerts are also sent when errors occur pushing data (like new leads or contact record changes) to the CRM.   Push errors are sent in batches, with no more than 1 every 4 hours being sent.  Pull errors are generated every time the CRM tries to sync, which is dependent on your account's sync schedule.

Admin users will be automatically opted-in to these notifications, and marketing users can opt in manually.  To control these notifications and opt in or out, click on your user name in the upper right of Act-On, then choose Profile. Click on the notifications tab and toggle the Push and/or Pull error options.

When

This feature was released to all CRM accounts on August 25, 2026

Customer Impact

Customers may notice email alerts in their inbox if the CRM connection is interrupted, or if an individual record change fails to push to the CRM due to invalid data, permissions errors or other problems.  All users can opt out of these notifications by toggling the preferences as mentioned above.
