Automated Program Step Email Alert Update

  • Updated

The Automated Programs "Send Alert" step emails your sales team (or other stakeholders) whenever contacts complete a program step. This update reshapes that alert email so the people receiving it can act on it immediately, without logging into Act-On first.

Why this matters: Sales and other stakeholders often only ever see the alert email, not the Act-On interface behind it. Putting the contact table, lead scores, and direct links to the contact report and CRM record right in the email means they can prioritize follow-up without an extra login.

What's Changing

The format of the Automated Programs "Send Alert" has been updated. All changes were requested by customers via Act-On's feature request process.

  • The alert now includes a table of contacts who have completed the automated program step in question, rather than just linking to the table within Act-On (which contains all contacts who've run through the step, not just the newest ones). The alert will include up to 200 contacts, larger cohorts are still available within the app via a link.
  • The lead score for each contact is included (uses the first or default scoresheet)
  • A "View Contact Report" and "View in CRM" link is included for each contact
  • The Program name, Step name, and account information is included in the alert.
