Enhancements to Automated Programs

  • Updated

Automated Programs reporting, the listing page, and the program editor have all been overhauled. The Automated Journey Builder is now the default editor for building programs, and the classic program dashboard is retired in favor of the new reporting dashboard.

Why this matters: If you were living in the classic dashboard or the Classic Editor, this changed your day-to-day navigation — new icons, a renamed program state, and a new default editor. The Classic Editor has since been fully retired, so all programs are now edited in the Automated Journey Builder.

Quick Reference (Advanced Users)

  • Automated Journey Builder is now the default editor; the classic program dashboard is retired.
  • The Stopped program state is renamed Paused.
  • The Classic Editor has since been fully retired. All programs, new and existing, are now edited in the Automated Journey Builder.

  • The Automated Journey Builder is now the default program editor

What's new on the Automated Programs listing page

When hovering over a program name, you'll see a new set of navigation and action icons:

The Automated Programs listing page, showing the navigation and action icons that appear when hovering over a program name.

These icons (from left to right) are:

  • Automated Programs Dashboard – links to the new reporting dashboard
  • Edit in the Automated Journey Builder – links to the Automated Journey Builder
  • Start or Pause the program
  • Add to Favorites

The 3 dots icon opens an overflow menu with the following options for your program:

  • Duplicate
  • Create Template
  • Classic Editor – links to the classic program editor
  • Delete

Duplicate Create Template Classic Editor – links to the classic program editor Delete.

Clicking the Plus icon to create a new program now automatically opens the Automated Journey Builder. This icon previously allowed you to choose between using Automated Journey Builder or the Classic Editor. You can no longer create new programs in the Classic Editor. New programs created from templates will also open in the Automated Journey Builder instead of the Classic Editor.

At the time of this update, you could still edit an existing program in the Classic Editor. That option has since been fully retired — all programs, new and existing, are now edited in the Automated Journey Builder.

The Classic Editor has been fully retired.
