Automatic Sign-Out Time

Act-On automatically signs users out after a period of inactivity. The default timeout is one hour. Administrators can adjust this policy for their entire account.

  • Where to change timeout: Settings › Other Settings › Custom Account Settings › Security & Policies.
  • Allowed values: 1 to 24 hours.
  • Who can change it: Account administrators only.
Try it like this: Set the timeout to 8 hours to give users more flexibility while still keeping account access secure.

Change the Automatic Logout Timeout

  1. Sign in to Act-On as an administrator and go to SettingsOther SettingsCustom Account SettingsSecurity & Policies.
  2. In the Automatic Logout section, click Edit.
  3. Open the Timeout list and select the amount of inactive time (1 to 24 hours) before Act-On signs users out automatically.
  4. Click Save.
