Due to the increasing restrictions that Facebook has placed on the usage of its public API, we removed the ability to post to Facebook via Act-On’s Social Publish feature on November 6th, 2019.
There are several alternatives for creating social posts with Act-On:
- Use Act-On’s Advanced Social Media Module, which also includes additional functionality such as social listening and internal employee advocacy. Learn more here.
- Continue to use the Social Publish tool in Act-On to post to the other integrated platforms, LinkedIn and Twitter.
- Use another social publishing tool such as Hootsuite – these are not natively integrated, but you may be able to pass some data to/from Act-On using Zapier.
For an overview of Act-On's social media functionality, see this page.

Is publishing to Facebook still an option via the Social Media Module?
Hi Melissa. The Advanced Social Media Module, which is an add-on to the Act-On platform, allows for posting directly to Facebook, whereas the Social Publish feature within Act-On does not. Hopefully that clears things up, but let me know if you have additional questions.
