Managing ISP Names
When possible, Act-On identifies an anonymous visitor's company based on the anonymous prospect’s IP address. If the company can’t be identified, the general ISP carrier name will be shown. Act-On will separate these contacts into separate from Companies and from ISPs views to help you distinguish between the two.
Act-On automatically filters many well-known ISPs to the ISPs view. You can also mark ISPs manually to filter them out, allowing you to focus your attention on individuals with company names.
If you see a visitor in the ISPs report that shouldn't be there, click the down arrow to the right of that record and select Mark As ISP. You can also do the reverse from the Companies view to mark a single contact as coming from an ISP.
To update your ISP names in bulk:
- Click More... in the upper right of the Website Prospector Report and select ISP Names
- Add or remove as many ISP names as you'd like
(If you're entering multiple names, hit Enter/Return to put each one on a new line) - Click Save to return to the report
Managing Customer Names
You can mark particular prospects or companies as current customers to move them into a separate view from other web visitors. This lets you analyze their web behaviors separately to tailor your approach.
To mark a specific visitor as a current customer, click the down arrow to the right of that record and select Mark As Current Customer. You can also do the reverse from the Customers view to move that contact out to the Anonymous or Known sections.
