General Properties
Title
Make sure it's descriptive enough so you can easily locate it among your other Landing Pages. This is especially important if you plan on creating multiple versions for A/B testing.
Status
With the Status section you can decide the visibility of your Landing Page to the public with the flip of a switch. When the Landing Page is disabled, visitors will be sent to your selected Redirect URL.
Redirect URL
Use a Redirect URL to redirect your page's visitors if you unpublish your Landing Page. You can use a Global Redirect URL, an Individual Redirect URL, or a Landing Page Redirect.
- The Global Redirect URL is the default URL that any Landing Page will redirect to if another option is not set and the page becomes disabled. To set up the Global Redirect URL for your account, go to Settings > Other Settings > Custom Account Settings > Account Redirects.
- The Individual Redirect URL option allows you to type in any URL that you would like to redirect visitors from one Landing Page.
- The Landing Page Redirect will allow you to redirect visitors to another one of your Act-On Landing Pages.
Displayed URLs
The Displayed URL is the URL that will be shown in the browser's address bar. You can easily create new public URLs for enhanced SEO and sharability. See this page for more information.

These properties appear in the right side column of the Landing Page properties and can change the way that the Landing Page appears in search engine results and other places such as social media.
Disable Indexing
Don't want your Landing Page to appear in search results? From the Properties tab, you can select to have your page indexed or de-indexed by clicking the magnifying glass icon.
For more technical specifics, this feature adds the following meta tag to your Landing Page. This instructs a web crawler to ignore the page:
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">
For a Landing Page to appear in a search engine, it must first be indexed by a web crawler. In order for the web crawler to find your page, your website must contain a link to the Landing Page. (In other words, you must publish the link.)
If you have a Custom Marketing Domain, your Landing Pages will reflect your brand URL. Your web administrator can control how your Act-On Landing Pages are indexed by creating a sitemap, a robots.txt file, and using SEO audit tools with major search engines such as Google Search Console.
If you do not have a custom marketing domain set up, your pages will show in search results from the domain actonsoftware.com. (This is one reason we highly suggest creating a Custom Marketing Domain!) Act-On does not create sitemaps or submit sitemaps to Google. Activity from web crawlers such as page views are ignored.

To perform an SEO Audit on your Landing Page:
- Navigate to the Properties tab and click the Graph Icon on the right-hand side:
- Select or add keywords to audit and click Save Keyword Selection. Your audit report will generate.
- Make edits to your page based on the suggestions and re-audit your page.
- Continue this for each keyword or phrase you are targeting.
Keep in mind that understanding your keywords is very important for the audit. A keyword is a word (or phrase) you want searchers to find your page for. You can perform research in Google and elsewhere to understand the terms that your customers are using - then you can optimize for these terms in Act-On.
