Track emails, add content from your Act-On account, & view a record's activity history with Act-On Anywhere for Gmail. You can also expand your view of a record's activity history beyond Gmail. (eg. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SugarCRM, and others).
Prerequisites
- Download Act-On Anywhere for Gmail on Google Chrome (Download).
- Set up & add your Act-On Account to Act-On Anywhere (Instructions).
- Access to a CRM.
Setup Instructions
- Sign in to your CRM.
- Copy the domain URL for your CRM (everything after ‘https://’ and before the first ‘/’). For example:
- In your Chrome browser, click the Act-On icon for Act-On Anywhere add-in & click Options:
- Go to the Websites tab.
- Click + Website.
- Paste the URL from step 2 above.
- Select the Timeline box:
- Open up and view a record on your CRM.
- Click the Act-On Anywhere ribbon on the right-hand side. For example:
- Click Add/Select an Email.
- Select the Email Address that corresponds to the record being viewed.
If no activity is shown, expand your history view from Past 2 weeks to All.
Setup for Multiple Act-On Accounts
If you have more than one Act-On account, use the following instructions to view the activity history from multiple Act-On accounts:
- Add additional accounts to Act-On Anywhere for Gmail (Options > Account).
- Click the account you want to use this will set the account to (Active Account).
- Open up and view a record on your CRM.
- Click the Act-On Anywhere ribbon on the right-hand side.
- Click Add/Select an Email.
- Select the Email Address that corresponds to the record being viewed.
- Repeat these steps, selecting a different account in step 2.
