Act-On Anywhere for Gmail allows you to track emails, add content from your Act-On account, and view the activity history of the record you are viewing. You can expand viewing the activity history of the record you are viewing beyond Gmail. (eg. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SugarCRM, and many others)
Prerequisites
- Download Act-On Anywhere for Gmail on Google Chrome (Download)
- Setup and Add Account to Act-On Anywhere (Instructions)
- Access to a CRM
Setup Instructions
- Log into your CRM
- Copy the domain URL for your CRM (everything after ‘https://’ and before the first ‘/’)
- Navigate to the Options menu for Act-On Anywhere
- Navigate to the Websites tab
- Click + Website
- Paste the URL from step 2
- Tick the Timeline box
- Open up and view a record on your CRM
- Click the Act-On Anywhere ribbon on the right-hand side
- Click Add/Select an Email
- Select the Email Address that corresponds to the record being viewed
Note: If no activity is shown, expand your history viewed from 2 weeks to All.
Setup for Multiple Act-On Accounts
If you have more than one Act-On account you may use the following instructions on how to view the activity history from multiple different Act-On accounts.
- Add additional accounts to Act-On Anywhere for Gmail (Options > Account)
- Click the account you want to use this will set the account to (Active Account)
- Open up and view a record on your CRM
- Click the Act-On Anywhere ribbon on the right-hand side
- Click Add/Select an Email
- Select the Email Address that corresponds to the record being viewed
- Repeat steps 2 through 6 and selecting a different account on step 2
