Contact Report in Salesforce

  • Updated

Sales reps working in Salesforce can pull up the Contact Report directly in Salesforce with the click of a button - no need to log into Act-On separately to see how a lead has been engaging with your marketing.

Who does this: A Salesforce administrator installs the button on the Lead and Contact page layouts; once it's there, any registered sales user can click it.
Why this matters: Sales gets marketing engagement history - email opens, page visits, form fills - right on the record they're already viewing, so they can prioritize and personalize outreach without switching tools.

Quick Reference (Advanced Users)

  • Requires an active Salesforce connection, the current Act-On package version, and users registered in Act-On.
  • Add the button under Setup > Object Manager > Lead/Contact > Page Layouts (Lightning) or Setup > Build > Customize > Leads > Page Layouts (Classic).
  • Classic: drag Act-On Contact Report into Lead Detail Custom Buttons. Lightning: drag it into Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions.
  • Repeat for both Lead and Contact page layouts, then click Save.
